Athletics

A successful athletic program is an important part of a positive school experience. The challenge of competition and the development of personal skills and school spirit enrich a school and the student body.
PCA is very proud to offer opportunities to its students to participate in a variety of team and individual sports at various levels of competition. As a member of the South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA), PCA offers the following athletic teams:

  • Fall
    • Football: MS Grade 5-7; Varsity 8-12
    • Swimming: Co-ed:  Grades 6-12
    • Volleyball: MS Grade 5-6; JV and Varsity:  Grades 7-12
    • Tennis:  Girls Varsity 6-12 (depending of skill level)
    • Cross Country: Co-ed:  Grades 6-12
    • Cheerleading: JV and Varsity: Grades 6-12
  • Winter
    • Basketball:  Boys and Girls: Grades 2-8:(SCISA forms not required for 2nd-8th)
    • Basketball:  Girls and Boys: JV 7-10; V 8-12
  • Spring
    • Baseball: Varsity 8-12 
    • Golf: Co-ed: Grades 6-12 (depending on skill level)
    • Tennis: Co-ed: Grades K5-8:(SCISA forms not required K5th-8th)
    • Tennis:  Varsity Boys Grades 6-12 (depending on skill level)
    • Track and Field: Co-ed JV and Varsity:  Grades 6-12
    • Soccer: Boys and Girls Varsity:  Grades 8-12

PCA has developed a very successful and respected athletic program which has been the recipient of numerous regional and state championships. Even more important than athletic success is the demonstration of character by all of those who participate to make our athletic program a reflection of our Christian values.
