Christian Parents Seeking A Biblical Education
Palmetto Christian Academy was established in 1992 by a group of parents seeking a Christ-centered education for their children. These parents prayerfully came together to help create a new school that would academically challenge their children, while instilling the faith and values they hold precious.
Opened as an outreach of East Cooper Baptist Church, PCA was created with three distinctive features. It would teach Christian truth, it would serve children covered by God’s covenant with their parents, and it would follow a classical curriculum. Twenty-five students were divided between a 1st - 2nd grade combination class and a 3rd - 4th grade combination class to lead the way for our new school. By 2001, the student body had grown to 170 students in grades K-8.
The year 2005 marked the beginning of the fulfillment of a God-given vision to extend PCA’s education through high school. Sixteen students enrolled in the first 9th grade class. Four years later, 16 students crossed the stage as PCA’s first graduating class.
Since its founding, Palmetto Christian Academy has been abundantly blessed and experienced tremendous growth. But our vision remains the same. PCA strives to provide each student with a distinctively Biblical and academically excellent education that will equip them to impact the culture for Christ.
Sharing Our Stories
"PCA has allowed our family to be surrounded by a community of believers while our boys are learning from a biblical perspective. They are engaged in great academics, athletics and arts with God at the center of it all!"
