Frequently Asked Questions

What does it mean to be a Christian school?

As a Christian school, we partner with Christian parents to provide a Christ-centered education emphasizing godly character and academic excellence within a nurturing environment and to develop in students a Christian world and life view to fulfill their calling to the glory of God.  All teachers at PCA give credible testimony of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and display a passion for sharing their faith and nurturing their students.

Will my child be prepared to attend a selective college or university?

As a college preparatory school, PCA prepares each student to be successful at whatever college or university they may attend. With a rigorous curriculum including honors and advanced placement courses in every upper school core subject area, PCA has high standards that are well respected around the state of South Carolina and the country. One hundred percent of our graduates are accepted to four-year colleges and universities.

How do I apply to PCA?

Please contact our Director of Admissions or visit the Admissions page by clicking here for further information.

Does PCA offer tuition assistance or scholarships?

PCA does offer tuition assistance based on the recommendation of the Family FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, which is a company that serves Christian schools in assessing the financial needs of their families. Families who qualify for tuition assistance can receive a discount on tuition, within the limits of our budget.

Are siblings automatically admitted?

We certainly welcome applications from siblings, although each admission application is evaluated on its own merits. Occasionally PCA is not the best fit for a sibling.

Do PCA students wear school uniforms?

PCA students do wear school uniforms. Uniforms for grades K-8 are purchased from Stagecoach located in Mount Pleasant or online from Lands' End. Uniforms for High School students are purchased online from Dennis Uniforms.  Click here to review our Upper School and Lower School dress codes.
