“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” - Matthew 28:19-20
Part of Palmetto Christian Academy’s mission and purpose is to develop in students a Christian world and life view. Beginning in 2004 PCA was given the privilege to partner with an orphanage in Moldova. Each class is given an orphan to build a relationship with and support. The students are encouraged to be as creative as possible when raising money for their individual orphan. Students have had bake sales, washed cars, babysat, mowed lawns, had read-a-thons, and other various creative activities to make supporting their orphan fun and rewarding! Througout the year students send and receive e-mails, letters, and packages to their orphan allowing them to truly build a relationship with their orphan.
Missions is a vital part of what makes Palmetto Christian Academy such a unique Christ-centered atmosphere. Beyond supporting an orphan students raise money for other mission projects, attend summer mission trips, participate in an annual mission conference, and have the opportunity to hear from missionaries throughout the school year.
Students have also seen first hand the exciting venture of preparing for life on the mission field! Miss Brenda Williamson taught at PCA for the past 4 years and is now serving in Indonesia. The students are excited to have communication with a missionary they know personally.
