Palmetto Christian, in only its 3rd year of varsity sports, defeated Glenforest School of Columbia 70 - 60 Saturday in Sumter to claim the 2009-2010 SCISA 1A state championship.  Glenforest took the early 2-0 lead, but two quick baskets by PCA gave the Eagles a lead they never relinquished.  PCA was led in scoring by junior guard Christian Lofton who hit 5 three point shots and finished with 15 points.  Senior center Jarrod Harrison added 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds before fouling out late in the 4th quarter.  Senior guard Chris Gates and senior forward Zach Morrison contributed 10 points each to the winning tally.  Glenforest was led in scoring by Josh Simmons with 33 points and Matt Jones with 10 points.  PCA finished the season with a 25-3 overall record and Glenforest finished the season with a 26-3 overall record.
