Kelsey Nelson brings a unique blend of creativity, experience, and educational expertise to the classroom. She holds a dual degree in Musical Theatre and Early Childhood Education, as well as a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction. Currently serving as the Middle School Drama Teacher at PCA, Kelsey spent the first decade of her teaching career in 1st grade while also founding and directing a successful local musical theatre company, where she produced and directed more than a dozen youth productions over five years.

A seasoned performer, Kelsey began her stage career at the age of seven and landed her first professional role at thirteen. She has since performed in over a dozen Off-Broadway shows and continues to inspire students with her passion for the performing arts.

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Kelsey has called Charleston home since 2014. She is married to her college sweetheart, Jeff, and together they have two wonderful daughters and a beloved fur baby.
