Heather holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Richmond and has completed an additional 30 graduate hours in Literacy Education. She is currently pursuing Associate Certification through the Orton-Gillingham Academy. Before joining PCA, Heather served in the Charleston County School District for 28 years—24 of those at Belle Hall Elementary—where she taught first grade and worked as a Reading Specialist. In addition to her classroom experience, Heather provides private tutoring for students and has also been a dedicated local swim coach and instructor. Heather lives in Belle Hall with her son, Harris. Since 2003, they have been active members of Seacoast Church, where they serve in both the student ministry and security team. In her free time, Heather enjoys reading, hiking, spending time at the beach, and being with her two dogs.
