Emmett Morgan was born and raised in Mt Pleasant. He and his wife, Theresa, were married in 2002. They have one daughter, Emi, who attends Coastal Carolina University and attended Palmetto Christian. Emmett and Theresa have attended East Cooper Baptist Church since 1998. They were both "double dunked" (baptized) while engaged, by Buster in 2001. Emmett has served on the ECBC Security Team since 2017, has supplemented the PCA Security Team as needed since 2021. Emmett has extensive training in security applications. Emmett holds an English degree from the College of Charleston. Prior to taking over the role of Director of Campus Security, Emmett served as a financial planner, Director of the Lowcountry Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and personal trainer. Emmett and Theresa enjoy being outdoors, travel, and the beach.
