Originally from Heath Springs, South Carolina, Rachel Jeffords is a graduate of the College of Charleston Honors College. She received two degrees: a BA in English: Writing, Rhetoric, and Publication and a BS in Marketing. The summer after graduating college, she felt a calling from God to pursue teaching and entered the TeachCharleston alternative certification program. She received her professional certification after three years of teaching 6th grade ELA at Laing Middle School. Desiring to incorporate her faith into her pedagogy, she applied to Palmetto Christian Academy in 2025. Rachel is an avid reader of classic literature; her favorites are C.S. Lewis and 19th Century British Literature. She loves oil painting, writing stories, and hiking the National Parks.
