Celebrating Leading Contributors Throughout History

main image

If you walked through the halls of Palmetto Christian Academy this month, chances are you noticed beautiful artistic work with historical significance hanging along the walls of our school. Several of our middle school students, with the help of volunteer Sandra Pabst, designed numerous posters depicting leading contributors throughout history in celebration of Black History Month. Individuals such as Ruby Bridges, the first black student to integrate an elementary school in the South, and Katherine Johnson, the first black female engineer at NASA, were featured in the artwork. A special thank you to Mrs. Pabst and her student helpers for creating stunning displays that served to educate students of all ages at PCA.
