Developing a Deep Love for Worshiping God

All PCA students eagerly anticipate chapel on Wednesdays, but lower school students look forward to something extra exciting. Every week several lower school classes take the Worship Center stage to lead students and parents in worship. Starting chapel not only gives students an opportunity to worship the Lord through song but to learn more about who He is and how much He loves them. Dalton McMillan shared, "It [leading worship] makes me happy because I am praising God and He's taking care of me."

This past Wednesday, Mrs. Welch's and Ms. Hanzsche's second grade classes took the stage. Grace Czerwinski, a second-grader from Mrs. Welch's class, began chapel with a prayer. When asked how she felt after, she said, "God helped me by giving me the strength to pray in front of everyone." After the prayer, the Worship Center audience was on their feet singing and dancing to some of their favorite praise songs. Evie Tillery said, "I like 'Lord I lift your name on High' because it has really good words and a good tune and I like the motions." Parker Parrish said, "'Trading my Sorrows' had the best message because we were teaching that when we lay down our sins and sad feelings, we are filled with the joy of the Lord."

Parents are invited to join students in this joyful time every Wednesday morning when we see PCA's mission of love, honor, and obey demonstrated through the excitement of the Lower School's voices in worship and prayer.
