Middle School Launches Student Government Association

The results are in from the Middle School SGA applications! Here are your student leaders:

President: Greta Anderson
Vice President: Sophia Ralph
Secretary: Laura Horne

8th grade representative: Daniel Stewart
7th grade representatives: Liza Klassen and Grace Parker
6th grade representatives: Teagan Delaney and Jessi Mathis

Headed by Middle School Leadership teacher John Harris, this year's Middle School SGA is a first for PCA. "I have had the current 8th graders since 6th grade," Harris said when asked why he wanted to start a Middle School SGA. "We wanted ...to give middle school something that is their own...to create comradery, and to help cultivate school spirit."

While finding out the results of the applications only this morning, Harris says the plan is to focus on a community service project each semester. "We want to create servant leaders through community service projects, as well as have the students listen to and get feedback from their peers."

Their first work as a team? Coming up with a 6th and 7th grade focused Homecoming activity to do on Friday to end the Homecoming Spirit Week festivities.

We know that these up-and-coming PCA leaders are going to make the school proud!
