Dr. Roger Weaver

What do you teach? I teach students. The subjects I teach are World, European, and US Histories, Government, and Economics.

What is your educational background?  I hold a BA in Communications/History from Winthrop University, an MA in Religious Education from Southwestern Seminary, and an EdD in Leadership from Southeastern Seminary.

How many years have you taught?  This is my 23rd year in the classroom.

Tell us about your family.  I have an older brother who still lives in the DC area and is the chief engineer for the Paxton network television stations in the area.  My wife, Cyndi, and I have been married 37 years - she works for Dr. Nash; our daughter, Melissa, teaches writing at McMurray University in Abilene, TX and is married to Adam, an Air Force officer; our son, Matthew, is the Upper School Principal at North Hills Christian School in Salisbury, NC. Both of our children are actively pursuing Christ and are involved in ministries in their churches.

What do you like to do in your free time?  Grade papers. Actually, I enjoy playing golf and disc golf, reading, watching shows with my wife, and the occasional video game.

What is something most people don't know about you?  I am a descendant of Robert Morris, "Financier of the Revolution," and signer of the Declaration of Independence.

What do you love most about PCA?  I love interacting with the students and being able to teach and mentor them from a biblical worldview.  Also, we have incredible parent support and some very gifted faculty and staff!

    Series Information

Throughout the school year, PCA will highlight members of our faculty and staff so that our community can further deepen its relationships.
