Ricky is passionate about empowering the next generation to know and love Christ and His Word, to see all of life from a biblical worldview, to hone critical thinking and communication skills, to engage culture with the gospel, and to live a life on mission. Before coming to PCA, Ricky served for nearly a decade and a half as a youth and education pastor in both large and median church contexts within the Southern Baptist Convention. He has also taught in the College of Christian Studies at Anderson University and at his alma mater North Greenville University. Ricky holds an M.Div. and Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where his studies focused on Philosophy, Christianity and the Arts, and World Religions. In addition to his calling to teach and disciple young people, Ricky has a heart to train and equip pastors and church leaders in parts of the world whree access to theological education is not readily available, and he loves to see students of all ages "be transformed by the renewal of [the] mind" (Romans 12:2).
