Congratulations to our Fighting Eagles for the following Region II AA honors in basketball: Katelyn Howard - Region Player of the Year, Lauren Pernell, Olivia Horne, Cole Silvester, Grayson Silvester and Kendall Chakeris - All Region, and Malachi Ancrum - Honorable Mention All Region. A big shout out to Sara Jenkins for being selected as the Girls Region Coach of the Year! We're proud of our Eagles!!!
The PCA Girls' Varsity basketball team defeated Pee Dee by a score of 67-59 on Friday night in the first round of the SCISA playoffs. Katelyn Howard led the team with 18 points followed by Olivia Horne with 12 and Lauren Pernell with 11. The win earned the Lady Eagles a second round game against Spartanburg Christian in Sumter last night. The Warriors started things off with a 7-0 run but PCA took control with a 24-4 run in the first half. Unfortunately, the top seeded Warriors sank several three pointers to close the gap in the second half and the Lady Eagles lost 64-62 on a shot as time expired. PCA's girls finished with a 14-10 record after playing one of the most difficult schedules ever played at PCA.
