The Palmetto Show: An Evening Of Fine Arts

main image

It was another successful night of the arts as PCA's talented students showcased their artwork as well as their instrumental and vocal talents in the annual Palmetto Show.

From 5:30-7:30 pm, the Welcome Center was set up gallery style to display the artwork of our Middle School students.

At 6 pm in the Worship Center, the band entertained the audience with hits from Veggie Tales, Star Wars (May the 4th be with you!) and even odes to Mechanical Monsters.

Afterwards, our High School and Middle School Choirs took the stage in the Sanctuary, beginning with a band crossover of handbells, which then segued into vocal hits from classics such as Tangled, cultural pieces such as Jubilate Deo and El Vito. and a fun upbeat “Basketball” piece performed by the High School Choir.

Such a fantastic school year finale of fine arts by our talented students and their fabulous directors.

Congratulations to sophomore and creative writing student Angelina Xiong for her published piece in Charleston Women Magazine. The Spring 2023 edition has a "Women in the Making" feature on page 12. Angelina's nonfiction article, "Iron Sharpens Iron," highlights her gratitude for her mother and best friend, who encourage her creativity.

“It was exhilarating!” said Xiong upon finding out that her piece was published. “It kickstarted my motivation to maybe become a bigger writer down the line in my life!”

Congratulations, Angelina!
