Lauren Pernell
At what grade level did you start Palmetto Christian Academy?
I have attended Palmetto Christian Academy since I was in Kindergarten.
Are you involved in extracurricular activities? If so, what are they and have you received awards in these activities?
for the last two years. It has been really rewarding bringing back old
traditions, such as Powder Puff, for future classes.
What are your plans after graduation?
If your college or university has released scholarship recipients, have you received scholarship money?
I have received the financial aid through the LIFE, Provost's, Denmark, and Baptist Scholarships. I was also given a track scholarship after committing to Anderson University in February.
How has PCA made a difference in, or impacted your life? Do you feel that Palmetto Christian Academy has prepared you for life after graduation?
PCA has been my home for the past 14 years of my life and I'm so sad to say good-bye. The people I am surrounded by have greatly impacted me here. The teachers and coaches that genuinely care about me and still pray for me after so many years. I can walk down the hallway and give my first grade teacher, Mrs. Cumbee, a huge hug or go have lunch on a stressful day with my track coach, Dale Hoover, because those are the amazing relationships that develop here. Palmetto Christian has prepared me for life after college by providing teachers and coaches that show how to walk with God on a daily
basis, that whatever I do, I should do it for God's glory.
