The votes are in and we have you to thank!!! PCA was voted "Best Private School" and "Best Elementary School" in Lowcountry Parent Mom's Choice awards! It's our first year ever to take home these top prizes. We are incredibly thankful to our families and friends for taking the time to cast your vote! There's no place like PCA!
Third grade students showcased 46 different countries in PCA's first annual World Fair. Students chose a country and designed a display showing the country's flag, map, common landmarks, common foods, natural resources, climate, holidays, important places to visit, famous people, traditional clothing, music, dance, and literature. The display also had common terms, like hello, goodbye, please and thank you in the language spoken in that country. Students followed guidelines provided by their teachers, but each one showed a lot of creativity. Many of the students dressed as one would in their represented country as well as displayed interesting props with their board displays. Students gave informal presentations to their peers, sharing what they learned about their country. This project was the culmination of six months of work and was enjoyed by all!
