The Worship Center was a buzz with festive tunes as the PCA Band performed their annual Christmas Concert. “The band students did a fantastic job at the concert,” said Doll. “I was so proud of the students and their performance. I was especially proud of our 6th grade band on their very first (and hopefully of many) concert. I hope we got folks in the Christmas spirit.”

Clarinetist, 6th grader Lydia Cooper was excited for her first concert. “I was excited and nervous at the same time but I had a lot of fun!” Trumpeter, Ellison Wylie agreed and added, “My favorite song to play was ‘Ode to Joy’.”

On Thursday, December 8, the PCA 7th & 8th Grade and High School Choirs took to the Sanctuary for their annual Christmas concert. "I was thrilled by my students' performance at the Upper School Christmas Concert. They were doing their absolute best, and it showed. Their sound was glorious, and they were all excited to be performing for their family and friends. It was a wonderful way to honor God and ring in the Christmas season,” said Choir Director, Dr. Jo Hethcox.

The evening began with “Carol of the Bells" featuring Middle and High School Choirs, before breaking off into grade level groups. The Middle Schoolers sang traditional favorites such as, “Angels We Have Heard on High” and “All I Want for Christmas is You” as well as some older songs such as, “Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burnin’” and “Three French Noels”.

After, the High School Choir took the stage where they took the audience on a “Sleigh Ride” through “O Holy Night,” while introducing songs such as “Suo Gan-Welsh Christmas Lullaby” and inviting the audience to join them in “Silent Night”.

6th grader Allie Grace Tate had a joy filled first Christmas Concert. “I was nervous at first but then I was excited! I like singing with my friends. My favorite was Carol of the Bells.”
